Federal Health Information Account Manager / Business Developer

Object Systems International is a hiring firm assisting 3M in filling a challenging senior level business development position. This position will be responsible for developing 3M’s business within the Federal Government health care market and will require selling to and managing large and complex accounts, developing business within existing accounts and developing new business opportunities within other Federal organizations.

Strong experience with health information management systems is required (medical coding and grouping, medical billing and reimbursement, electronic medical records, etc.). Working with health information managers, and clinical professionals such as, nurses, physicians, and Hospital Administrators is also required.

Extensive experience working with the Federal Government is required, with an understanding of FAR, DFARS, GSA, MOBIS and other government contracting vehicles.
Specific experience working with the DoD, VA, Indian Health Services, NIH, CMS and other major health care related elements of the Federal Government is ideal.

An extensive list of names/contacts (rolodex) In the Federal Government health care sector is a must.

This position requires a senior level professional capable of self-managing, including balancing life against work that can be stressful at times. You must be self-starter who can work individually and in a team environment with strong leadership, organizational and planning skills.

Compensation is negotiable and will be competitive. Full benefits are offered that can include health, life-disability, savings/retirement, performance/growth sharing, and others. Security clearances are required for this position, so the position is only open to US citizens. Travel is anticipated to be 25% to 50% with much of that local (i.e., DC area) travel visiting clients. Relocation assistance for this position is not available, and working remotely is not an option.
