Federal Business Develpoment Lead

Kforce Government Solutions are expanding their BD group. Under direction, the business development lead will identify, qualify, facilitate and participate in the capture of new business within the existing Department of Homeland Security (DHS)/Department of State (DoS) Mission Area Team client base.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Develop professional direction and matrixes for tactical execution in the (DHS)/(DoS) Mission Area Team in accordance with the execution of the Strategic Plan.
•Identify new business opportunities and build a qualified pipeline in accordance with the KGS Strategic Plan.
•Develop and maintain formal account and capture plans in the assigned area of responsibility.
•Achieve new business sales objectives as assigned by sales management.
•Market and sell services and routinely keep the DHS/DoS Mission Area Team up-to-date.
•Analyze and identify business opportunities and communicate these to Program Management.
•Establish and maintain ongoing relationships with current and prospective clients for new business opportunity.
•Actively contribute information for client meetings, program execution, and proposal development/review.
•Provide customer service and assist clients in understanding the value of KGS services.
•Represent KGS in key conferences and associations.
•Participate as a key member of the inter-disciplinary team in close coordination with the Vice President of Operations.

None required.

•Proficient personal computer skills with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).

EDUCATIONAND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree and five years related work experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Working experience in the federal government preferred. Understanding federal rules, policy and regulations required.
