Job Summary:

The Exhibit Sales position is a vitally important position for Promotional Products Association International. This position works directly with members to manage and grow existing accounts. The successful candidate will be highly motivated to achieve goals and is experienced in account management.

ESRs have the following responsibilities:Sell exhibit space and sponsorships to qualified companies in the promotional products industry, primarily via phone
Provide a high level of customer service to existing members and potential new members
Develop new business by identifying emerging markets to target prospects
Develop new revenue generating sponsorships, advertising and ancillary products
Respond to and follow up on exposition inquiries and leads in a timely manner
Represent PPAI to its members and prospects in multiple venues, including industry trade shows
Assist in creating awareness and a positive image of the Association Key Duties and Responsibilities:Develop and maintain long term relationships with clients by understanding their business and marketing needs
Drive sales by initiating contact with exhibiting members via phone, fax, mail and e-mail
Develop current leads and create new sources of leads whenever possible
Maintain ACT database by updating member records, entering lead information and documenting sales communications
Track results and initiate actions that help the Exposition Sales Department achieve its’ revenue goals
Create and regularly submit reports that communicate activities, achievements, barriers, opportunities, and solutions
Create and transmit (via mail, internet and fax) exhibit, sponsorship and ancillary product quotes and invoicing
Follow up with all qualified industry exhibitor to close business salesperson, salesman, saleswoman, selling, inside sales, outside sales, account executive, ae
REQUIREMENTS
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Three (3) years related or equivalent experience in inside sales (Five years or more a plus)
High school diploma required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
Experience with Act or similar contact management software
Experience in import and export of data, mail merging and Internet use
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to independently compose effective letters and communications
Ability to communicate and work effectively with individuals on many levels: prospects, customers, staff, volunteers, etc. via phone, email and at trade shows.
Ability to work independently and demonstrate sound judgment
Prior experience in tradeshow exhibit sales, advertising or a inside sales function.
Self-starter; strong goal orientation with bias toward action
Ability to travel to association events approximately 5% of time
Ability to visit clients on show floor during set-up, show days and tear-down during trade show events..
Ability to lift up to 25lbs
Willingness to work extended hours, holidays and weekends during a trade show event
