Position Description: This is an ENTRY LEVEL position within our Transportation Sales Team. In this position, you will provide C.H. Robinson's logistics services to businesses with transportation needs. You will be in daily contact with customers of various sizes, identifying their transportation needs, building relationships, negotiating freight rates and problem solving. You will solicit new business from customers of various commodities, as well as source equipment from more than 25,000 contracted carriers to accommodate each client's needs via truck, or rail car. You will be responsible for generating new business from customers, while maintaining current account relationships. You will also be responsible for sourcing new carriers for freight and managing current relationships. The role is three-dimensional; it involves buying, selling and problem solving.
