REQUIREMENTS
Certain skills are critical to the success of the engagement manager. The major skills in their order of importance are as follows:
HEALTHCARE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
•Business savvy to understand client needs, organizational needs and synergistically bring them together
•Leadership and excellence in making and meeting client requirements and commitments. Leadership is more important than management. The engagement manager will need to influence more than direct, due to the matrixed relationship with the client and within TM Floyd
•Ability to build relationships, to communicate and present to clients, including C-level executives, business and technology leaders
•Communications skills to provide appropriate, accurate, and timely information. The propensity to over-communication, rather than under-communicate is important
•Strategic problem solving with ability to deliver solutions•Capacity to coordinate multiple organizations with diverse objectives
•Maturity to handle “crisis” situations in an even, controlled manner, turning crises into opportunities to advance the relationship
•Knowledge of and capacity to navigate the TM Floyd and client organizations to achieve results
•Confidence of the client and TM Floyd management
•High impact team management, strong coaching and people development
•Fundamental knowledge of the business context of the engagement (insurance, healthcare, etc.)
