Director of Strategy and Development Job Responsibilities:

The Director of Strategy and Development will provide high-level strategic support to the Business Solutions Division Direct Sales team. This Director will be responsible for identifying, analyzing and developing revenue-generating strategies and projects for the Direct Sales team that match company and department goals. This Director will work closely with the team and other shared services groups to prioritize projects from an ROI and customer impact and will also participate in Business Unit forecasting and budgeting for a $3 Billion business. This Director will manage the development, execution and analysis of marketing programs and associated budgets for the Direct Sales team. These business development initiatives include but are not limited to; Telephone Account Management (TAM), Brand Enhancement and new Solutions and Innovations concepts. The director will also focus on competitive considerations, organizational alignment and measurement, multi-channel contact management and measurement, launch of new media, new market entry, and M&A.

Job Requirements
Job Qualifications:


Bachelor's Degree in Business/Economics/Accounting/Marketing or related field.

MBA preferred.

Minimum of ten years or more of progressively responsible experience in direct marketing and/or consulting

Five years extensive cross-functional project management experience

Business development experience, including the direction and design of cross-channel, national marketing programs

Outstanding leadership, intelligence, and executive presence

Highly analytical and proficient in project management

Excellent communication and consultative skills, both written and oral

Strong negotiating skills

General knowledge of contract selling business and Internet/Catalog division and distribution
