Director of Development

The development director provides leadership for fund development, marketing, and communication activities of non-profit corporation. Works with the CEO and board of directors to raise operating and capital funds through individual and major gifts, grants from corporations and foundations, special events and fund raising activities, and planned giving.

In addition to the director, the development department consists of marketing/events manager, fund development specialists, and part time secretary.

Position starts with 4 weeks vacation, 10 holidays, and sick leave. Good benefits
REQUIREMENTS
Experience in leadership and management of fund raising operations
Proven record in raising at least $200K annually

Proven experience in:
Building relationships with foundations, corporations, and major donors;
Grant writing
Managing volunteers
Strong oral and written communications skills
Management and supervisory experience
