Sebesta Blomberg currently has an exciting opportunity for a Director of Business Development. The successful candidate will act as a primary staff expert and advisor on business development opportunities. Additionally, this individual will be the focal point for evaluating the product lines and market segments targeted by the firm based on an analysis of the firm’s strengths and weaknesses, and the associated business opportunities with a focus on ensuring the optimal long range organizational growth and development.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:This seasoned Business Development Professional will have a Master’s Degree as a minimum in Engineering, Business, Communication, Marketing or other related fields
10 years of Industrial marketing experience in Commercial Engineering.Provides direction for the coordination and implementation of the organizational business development plan.Assists the Regional/Divisional Presidents in pursuing the business development initiatives that are consistent with the company’s overall strategy.Serves as the organizational expert on Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, and Business Development issues.Assists the Director of Operations with the development of the organization’s strategic plan including the development of Regional/Divisional business development plans.Directs the external promotion and marketing of Sebesta Blomberg with external media, advertising resources and industry associations to establish a favorable image within the industry.Identifies new opportunities for expansion or diversification into new product lines or market segments to maintain competitive advantages and“leading edge” capabilities while contributing to the overall growth and profitability of the company.Manages multiple business development initiatives for the Regional/Divisional Presidents.Works with the Regional/ Divisional Presidents and the Director of Operations to manage complex contract negotiations.Develop company wide structure and planning around business development.
