JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client, a leading Energy company, located in the Houston area, is seeking a hard charging Hunter to build business, knock on doors and originate / negotiate large scale energy contracts.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
This position serves as the Originator and Negotiator in the acquisition or sales. This position incumbent identifies large, complex and long-term transactions and is expected to simultaneously lead various such transactions. Responsible for supporting the acquiring or marketing of supply to monetize existing, and developing asset positions worldwide, and extracting additional value from transactions through optionality.

The Director is a key member of the Origination team and brings a breadth of experience to the organization in order to create new and enhance ongoing development and marketing activities. This position focuses on expanding the company's domestic and/or international presence by creating and developing opportunities. The Director initiates and successfully closes new business ventures that may require appropriate interaction with host governments, local political leaders, partners, suppliers and customers to achieve project commercialization. The Director is involved in conceptualizing, identifying, strategizing, executing, and bringing on stream supplies, including upstream of the liquefaction process, performing feasibility and risk analyses, overseeing financial structuring and leading contract negotiations for supply and sales opportunities. Deal focus is generally long term.

KNOWLEDGE:
Director must have working knowledge of re-gasification terminalling, liquefaction terminalling, natural gas lifting, processing, option valuation, capital structures, project economics, shipping, economic and energy commodity pricing dynamics internationally, supplier alternatives, Geo-political issues, infrastructure development, project management, government relations and joint venture negotiations; functions as the formal lead on major projects. This individual should also have knowledge of other potential gas conversion/commercialization uses

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Leading cross-functional teams that negotiate Supply Purchase Agreements, spot purchase agreements and sale agreements.
- Building and maintaining relations with counterparties at the senior management and functional levels to identify and realize value
- Influencing counter-party value perceptions through presentations, and creative problem solving
- Making presentations at industry events to promote and market Company
- Generate new domestic and international market opportunities that monetize existing gas supplies
- Identifying, conceptualizing, strategizing, developing and bringing opportunities to fruition
- Performing preliminary and related project studies including due diligence, disposition, alternative, deal structuring, and value and risk analyses
- Assisting in total project completion
- Developing, preparing and executing short-term and long-term operational and financial plans that ensure the commercial viability of projects
- Meeting or exceeding annual volume budget and profitability targets

- Strong demonstrated relationship building and transaction skills with ability to effectively screen, structure, communicate negotiate and close opportunities
- Team player that can both lead and support transactions within a matrix organizational structure, respecting and addressing needs and concerns of all deal team functional participants
- Clear and confident internal and external presentation skills to effectively influence key decision makers
- Demonstrated ability to understand financial, legal and technical aspects of commercial deals, maintain a balance between project advocacy and risk, and make clear recommendations

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES:
- May lead teams that negotiate Supply Purchase Agreements, spot purchase agreements and sale agreements. May direct and lead activities of Manager of Origination Analysis
- Must work well cross-functionally in working with Strategic Analysis in directing and/or coordinating commercial research assignment.
- Required to obtain mandated certification by attending Company-sponsored training in basic first aid, CPR, and fire fighting.
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS):

- Education and Certifications: Degree in business preferred

- Experience:

- Minimum 8-10 years experience in structuring and execution of complex financial transactions, significant energy industry commercial experience
