Director, Market Research (Fragrance)-New York

We are a leader in the fragrance business that creates fragrance compounds, cosmetic ingredients and dental flavors for use in a wide range of consumer products. We are seeking a seasoned Director, Market Research reporting to the VP, Marketing responsible for management of all areas of market research and consumer understanding. Position can be based either in NYC or in our Mt. Olive, NJ headquarters.

Develops/sets market research strategy.
Develops state-of-the art market research strategies for key accounts
Supports market research and consumer understanding tools to meet creative team needs, as well as customer requirements.
Continued training of Market Research Manager and Market Research Project Coordinator in keeping with new sophisticated test methodologies, as well as development of new qualitative methods of research.
Interprets market research results; prepares and conducts client presentations.
Serves as in house market research expert; acts as Liaison with clients
Accompanies sales and creative team on customer visits, conducts presentations; provides customer support to assist in their product development and market positioning.
Identify/develop new market research opportunities, tools and efficient cost-effective agencies.
Analyze internal /customer generated data to provide specific direction to Creative Team.

REQUIREMENTS
BA/BS Marketing or related which must include Market Research, statistical course, field work.
Masters Degree preferred with Specialized Training in Statistics
Minimum of 10 years related experience in fragrance, advertising or allied industry or equivalent.
