Director, Learning & Development

Our client a major Consumer Products company currently has an opening for a Director, Learning & Development.

This position will support the development of staff by designing, developing, implementing and evaluating training interventions. The Director of Learning & Development will identify the training needs, evaluate the impact of training provided for continuous improvement opportunities, and act as a business partner by developing and implementing training interventions required to support business objectives. Key responsibilities include: assessing, designing, developing, implementing and leveraging training synergies. Leading the transition from strictly face to face classroom delivery to an innovative use of multiple methodologies.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualified candidates must possess 8-10 years of training experience along with previous customer contact (multi-location) experience. A strong track record in delivering business focused solutions in a wide variety of training and development practices as well as a sound understanding of the adult learning theory, instructional design and learning methodologies is required. Candidates must also possess a basic understanding of levels of evaluation and fundamental organizational development practices and exceptional oral, written and presentation skills. Strong business acumen, consultative skills and the ability to travel are essential.
