As the Director of Global Commercial Operations you will be responsible for driving the development and optimization of global commercial processes across the Business Units and Regions to provide business value. You will manage and ensure consistency in the implementation of Wyeth's Global Product Launch, Brand Planning and Budgeting processes. You will collaborate with Global Business Managers, Regions, affiliates, TO&PS and R&D to secure appropriate global input and identify and institutionalize most effective and efficient global commercial practices. You will formulate policies and procedures to ensure consistent application of best practices. You will lead and/or collaborate in the development of new commercial processes and drive alignment and integration, assuming responsibility for timelines, communications, and implementation of the new processes. You will be responsible for continuously identifying and implementing process innovation and efficiencies within global commercial operations. You will provide and manage development opportunities for other GCO staff.

This position requires a Bachelor's degree with at least 10+ years overall experience in a pharmaceutical or related healthcare industry which should include at least 3-5 years prior managerial experience. The incumbent should have at least 3-5 years commercial operations experience and at least 6-8 years experience specifically related to pharmaceutical/healthcare information management in a global environment. The incumbent should possess demonstrated leadership/experience in the development of business planning processes. This position requires a unique skill set in order to direct this unit: business skills, finance skills, negotiation and influencing skills, marketing skills, and knowledge of the pharmaceutical and business environments together with being a practice and seasoned professional in the tools and techniques of commercial operations, strategic planning, business process and change management. The incumbent should have the following competencies and can draw on them on multiple levels to innovate, consult, counsel and advise others: developing an evolving strategy and embedding into practices; developing and managing multi-disciplinary teams in a complex matrixed environment; solid business planning skills; familiarity with IT environment; and is forward-thinking and innovative with strong leadership experience, preferably in a global environment. The incumbent will be able to draw on these competencies at multiple levels to innovate, consult, counsel, and advise others.
