Well known fortune 500 financial services companyWe’re looking for a few great leaders to drive a small, hand-picked team of entrepreneurs focused on changing the way the Financial Services Industry thinks about consumer and small business needs for payment products (i.e. debit, pre-paid debit, instant online payments, etc.). The Payments Team is a new line of business with a Card imperative driving its strategy – “Crack Debit” – and our banking strategy stoking its longer-term ambitions. The business includes industry innovations like Virtual Debit and seeks to ride the “debit wave” with Reloadable Prepaid Debit cards and Internet Payment vehicles. A key component of the Payments Strategy revolves around partnership business development activities, including joining forces with some of the top brands on the Web for Internet Payments and the creation of retailer debit and agent banking debit opportunities.Developing, executing and owning the results for partnerships strategy within the Payments LOB, including but not limited to:Internet Payment Products (i.e. portal wallets, online retailers, etc.)Retailer Debit ProductsAgent Debit ProductsOwning business development, ongoing relationship management, NPV and vertical profitability associated with Payments partnershipsServing on the Payments Leadership Team and partnering with M&A, Infrastructure Development and Operations Teams as our thought leader on and champion of PartnersDesigning, recruiting and developing the team associated with business development and relationship management in the Payments partnerships spaceTeaming up with partnership development teams to create coordinated plays and packaged offeringsEstablishing and nurturing Payments’ partnership competencies and other (non-partner) relationships across and external to the enterprise to enable innovative, well-managed and continuously improving Partnership value propositionsCoordinating activities to ensure marketing, customer acquisition and servicing operations capacity is balanced for Partnership marketing eventsAs necessary developing and implementing new processes to support delivering Payments partnership strategy intent; Being a driver in improving existing processes across and outside the enterprise to improve performanceEnsuring ongoing compliance with applicable rules and regulations in partnership with Payment’s Requirements/Risk Managers and compliance partnersPotentially laying the groundwork for a broader agent banking play
REQUIREMENTS
Financial Service sales force management experience, management experience or exceptionally strong sales-based relationship skillsOutstanding influence and relationship-building skillsAnalytical ability to develop and manage investment and vertical profitabilityDevotion to associate development vs. associate “management”Very strong written and verbal communication skillsPassion to be a thought leader, leverage networks for learning, be proactive in driving change and take risks by experimentingDemonstrated a strong drive and commitment for delivering outstanding resultsAn ability to drive and lead Partnership strategy with the ambiguity and change inherent in a innovation-driven organizationWillingness to travel 25%
The ideal candidate will also posses the following skills, although it is not a requirement for consideration:Experience managing both strategic and day-to-day external relationshipsOperational manager experience in marketing and servicingBusiness development and/or sales experienceManagement consulting experienceCorporate research or investment banking experienceMBACompensation:
