Direct Sales Assistant
Insight Communications is the 9th largest cable operator in the United States, serving approximately 1.3 million customers in the four contiguous states of Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky. Insight specializes in offering bundled, state-of-the-art services in mid-sized communities, delivering analog and digital video, high-speed Internet, and voice telephony in selected markets to its customers.
Basic Job Description:
Answers calls from all Direct Sale Representatives’ and is responsible for the input of sales orders, file paperwork and complete standardized reports for the District Sales Department.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
·Maintain constant contact with Direct Sales Rep.
·Inputs and provide sales data in standardized reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
·Conduct daily sales order entry.
·Collect, separate and audit completed work orders.
·Enter appropriate data regarding installation, reschedule dates, service changes and equipment.
·Coordinate with district supervisors, managers, or dispatch to ensure time is available for door-to-door orders.
·Trouble shoot customer contacts and comments relating to Direct Sales Reps.
·File work orders, reports and other related paperwork.
·Process direct commercial work orders.
·Process all website feedbacks.
·Operate computer to review customer account information.
·Interface well with all employees from all departments at all levels, the public and vendors at all levels
·Will work on computers while sitting at their desk for extended periods of time.
·Periodic overtime may be required,
·Perform related duties, as the situation dictates and perform other functions that may be assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS:
·High School diploma or GED required.
·Computer Experience to include Microsoft EXCEL and AS/400
·Prefer previous experience with ICOMS.
·Must be self-confident, reliable and personable.
·Work on assigned projects with minimum supervision.
·Strong telephone voice in terms of tone, clarity, pronunciation and proper use of grammar.
·Proficient in multi-tasking, working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
·Detail oriented with a background in problem solving skills.
·Maintain operating records and reports.
·Excellent written and verbal communications skills with both internal and external customers.
·Ability to work well in a customer service environment.
·Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Access, – especially Excel.)
·Two years of office administration experience preferably in a sales environment.
