Development Officer

The Children's Home currently has an opening for a Development Officer. This position will report directly to the CEO.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
• Coordinating a capital campaign, related events and activities,
• Identifying and cultivating potential donor prospects - individuals and foundations, and solicitation strategies.
• Interacting with the development committee of the board of directors in conjunction with the CEO and board president as well as enlisting and supporting inter-agency departmental staff and volunteers for participation in major solicitations.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
• The successful candidate must have excellent communication, relationship building and organizational skills.
• Bachelor’s degree required with seven years experience in fundraising for non-profit organizations.
• Demonstrated track record of leading a fundraising campaign with goal specific results is a must.
• Minimum of two years experience supervising development staff is required.
