DPE Business Development Manager

Drive the overall long-term vision for DPE through identification of key cross-category strategic & execution issues, driving activities with key strategic partners (e.g. Disney), and identification of leading-edge capabilities and possible new business models thru extensive external engagement. Work across the Region DPE sales teams to identify and coordinate large ecosystem deals.
Specifically:
1. Develop an external view of the evolving photo and personal media market, and use those findings to develop the longer-term vision for DPE.
2. Manage a cross-DPE process that identifies and develops aligned positions on key cross -DPE strategy questions and execution questions.
3. Rationalize the DPE-level strategic questions against individual product-line strategic decisions and executions.
4. Develop and manage external partnerships required to drive ecosystem development.
5. Develop an acquisition strategy and execution plan working with DPE Staff members and Corporate Development.
6. Work across HP and the industry to identify new capabilities and new business models in the personal digital media space.
7. Work across the Region DPE Sales teams to coordinate large deals involving active GBU involvement.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree, preferably in technical field. MBA degree preferred.
Demonstrated drive, confidence and risk taking
Demonstrated ability to influence and persuade
Experience working with C-level executives
Skills include: teamwork, interpersonal, initiative, leadership, communication, and excellent presentation skills
Experience and knowledge should demonstrate an ability to investigate new products and new markets and develop business plans to make those ideas into businesses. Your experience should include past positions with venture-backed companies or firms working with venture backed companies. Familiarity with the technical aspects of core IT technologies such as the internet and wireless will be important. Demonstrated ability to develop a network of industry contacts in a new business space will be crucial to being successful in this role. M&A experience will be a plus.
