ESCO Corporation has an opening for Customer Sales and Service Representative I with our Supply Chain Management team in Portland, OR.
Major responsibilities include:
This position acts as primary interface to ESCOs customers by managing activities between the District Managers, Technical Support Group, Purchasing, Marketing, Engineering, Manufacturing, Product Support, Planning and other Account Reps. Provides professional and efficient customer service, through prompt and accurate customer order entry and quoting. Acts as primary interface to ESCOs customers by managing activities between the District Managers, Technical Support Group, Purchasing, Marketing, Engineering, Manufacturing, Product Support, Planning and other Account Reps. Provides professional and efficient customer service, through prompt and accurate customer order entry and quoting. Works directly with assigned accounts and the associated District Manager, Account Manager and Sales Manager. Account may be located in the Americas or Asia. Responds to orders, inquiries and/or complaints regarding products and/or services, pricing, delivery dates, adjustments to bills/orders, etc. Processes customer sales orders and inquiries through established standards and procedures. Communicates special order requirements to the appropriate people within the organization to ensure conformance to the customer purchase order or inquiry. Institutes the proper procedures to settle customer complaints or to fulfill requests while constantly striving to exceed the expectations of the customer. Prepares, sends and follows up on quotations. Maintains appropriate fields/tables within Oracle and Sales Logix databases to ensure data integrity. Advises dealers and customers of sales promotions, product improvements and literature updates. Processes and coordinates customer returns and credits. Assists in collection of past due account balances. Implements and enforces the appropriate sales policies and procedures by coordinating the necessary activity within the appropriate ESCO process. Works with other Account Representatives and CMP Planner for process improvement. Maintains good public relations by displaying an attitude of dedication, courtesy and professional competence that will be recognized as such by the customer. Actively participates in continuous improvement activities.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications include:
4 year college degree preferably in business, economics or engineering.
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products and ideally in Sales Logix, Agile, and Oracle Applications.
Excellent interpersonal skills demonstrated through written and verbal communication Proficient organizational and time management skills to multi-task and prioritize multiple customer inquiries simultaneously.
Demonstrates solid decision making for problem solving and to apply policies consistently. Fluency in a second language is desirable.
