Job Description:
This position is primarily responsible for the following:
•Generating new business revenue through effective proactive telephone sales activity
•Identifying additional sales revenue opportunities with existing and lapsed customers over the telephone to convert the opportunity to revenue
•Providing new and existing customers with exceptional customer First service
•Generating significant revenue opportunities
•Making appointments for the field sales team to visit customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following: (Other duties may be assigned)
1)Sales Planning:
•In conjunction with the Sales Manager, plan and schedule the monthly activity and revenue targets for new business
•Plans daily, weekly and monthly tasks to ensure selling time is maximized and activity and revenue targets achieved
2)New Business Revenue and Appointment Generation:
•Sources potential new customers using a number of sources including internet, trade journals, in-house data-base and external lead generation data-base
•Researches potential customers and prepares call structure so productive telephone calls are made to potential customers
•Contact companies to establish needs, determines decision maker and presents how the companies’ products and services can support the customers needs
•Collates and communicates information gathered during the sales telephone call, input into the in-house system and communicate to the sales support team
•Develops customer relationships and closes business over the telephone
•Is aware of and develops commercial opportunities for the company at all times
•Where significant opportunities are identified, makes qualified appointments with the appropriate contact.
3)Existing Customers Revenue Generation:
•Contacts by telephone existing and lapsed customers to continue to build and grow account opportunities
•Develops customer relationships and close business over the phone
•Escalates any customer service issues to the relevant personnel
4)Quotes and Sales Administration:
•Ensure that all business is negotiated on the best possible commercial terms
•Produces customer quotes and supporting documentation for customers within agreed timescales and following marketing guidelines
•Completes the administration sales processes including updating the customer data-base and of the in-house sales system
•Provides feedback from customers regarding competitors or feedback on our product offering to the Sales Manager
5)Customer First:
•Provides additional support for customers as required, for example incoming sales calls, technical support and customer services depending on staffing levels
•Passes on leads to other sales offices / sales teams as appropriate

•Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or 6 months to one year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
•Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
•Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
•Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
•Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
•Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
•Ability to deal with problems involving few concrete variables in standardized situations.
•Knowledge of Database software, Internet software, Order processing systems, Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
•Selling skills, including relationship building and negotiation expertise.
•Working ability of Microsoft Office Suite.
•Previous telephone based sales experience strongly preferred.
•Knowledge of the telecommunications industry a plus.
Benefits:
Salary of $35,000 annually with a potential bonus of $25,000 based on performance. Excellent benefits package.
