We currently have over 100 employees and we’re based right here in South Bend, Indiana.
SUMMARY:
Assists CFO with the financial affairs of the organization and with preparation of financial analyses of operations, including interim and final financial statements with supporting schedules, for the guidance of management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Duties to be assigned upon successful completion of an in-depth training and development program. Other duties may be assigned.Financials:
Oversees the preparation of the monthly financial statements. Analyze and track the monthly statements and report to CFO on any notable items, trends, forecasts, etc. Analyze and track product line and client-specific profit margins and report findings to CFO.
General Administration:
Create, update and maintain Standard Operating Policies and Procedures for all accounting functions and responsibilities. Promote and support our pledge of “Continual Improvement” by reviewing current financial and operating processes, researching new methods, software advances, and other industry-related improvements, and recommending changes to the CFO for approval.
Billing/Accounts Receivable:
Oversees Assists Accounting Team with the Accounts Payable by reviewing and approving billing, filling in when necessary, and other general assistance.Accounts Payable:
Oversees Accounts Payable function. Review and approve payable checks, resolve issues and provide other general assistance.Purchasing:Oversee the purchasing of Office Supplies and several other items. Create, update and maintain expense controls and cost-saving methods and techniques. Possibly expanding the role.Reporting:
Oversee the creation of monthly and ad hoc reports. Create and maintain report calendar to ensure all scheduled reports are delivered to the applicable parties correctly and in a timely manner.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Must have a Bachelors degree in Accounting and at least 2 years of experience as a Controller or equivalent experience as an accounting firm auditor.
