Config Mgmt Support Specialist

Business Unit: GE Infrastructure, EnergyFunction: Engineering/ Product DevelopmentResponsibilities: - Utilizing inputs from engineering leads and engineers, create external direct purchasing requests and be receiver for invoicing of direct purchasing of material and services for the project.
Provide additional support for weekly time vouchering, training records maintenance, and training material distribution.
Support project management and engineering leads as directed in short-term emergent tasks. May assist in monitoring cost and schedule performance associated with program activities.
Review and exercise judgment with regard to documentation and reports to assure compliance with GE's policies and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: - Associate certification.
Prior financial, purchasing and invoicing experience.
Basic skill in Oracle Direct.
Extensive PC skills; expert in use of Microsoft Office applications- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer, Outlook; expert in Adobe Acrobat/Distiller and PDF file manipulation.Desired: - Basic knowledge of and experience with SSP5, Maximo and Oracle Applications.
Expert user in Oracle Direct, as implemented at GENE.
Must be flexible to accept new/challenging assignments, requiring minimal instructions for overall task.
Must be able to set priorities effectively.General: - Capabilities consistent with a primarily office-setting environment are necessary.
