Clinic Business Manager The Clinic Business Manager works in a complementary role to the Clinic Director by handling all business-related functions of the clinic’s operations. This includes managing accounts receivable, managing accounts payable, scheduling and overseeing office personnel, staying abreast of compliance, Medicare and/or HIPAA issues, and ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of the clinic.1.Handles the following business functions:
a.Accounts Receivable management
b.Cost containment and expense control
c.Census management and scheduling
d.Insurance contract review
e.Profit and Loss and G/L review with Clinic Director
f.Financial reports (i.e., forecasting, budgeting)
g.Frequent audits reviews (i.e., billing, productivity, net price and units per visit, etc.
h.Maintain of facility (i.e., repairs, contract services)
2.Provides training to the business staff to assure their professional growth and development in the job.
3.Assists in development of procedures designed to improve employee retention rates.
4.Assure that the payroll and benefit functions are properly administered.
5.Assure Account Payables are forwarded to Division in a timely manner for processing.
6.Recruits and hires the clinic business staff; assists in hiring process for clinical staff.
7.Coordinates the insurance credentialing process of clinicians and the facility/clinic
8.Establishes uniform procedures for systematic retention, protection, retrieval, transfer and disposal of records.
9.Assures compliance with Federal/Medicare guidelines and Company compliance policies.
Physiotherapy Associates owns/operates over 500 outpatient clinics nationwide. We provide physical, occupational and speech therapy services to patients recovering from orthopedic, sports related, and neurological illness and injury. Education/Certification: High School Diploma or GED required; associates degree or college level business courses preferred.
Experience/Knowledge Required: Three previous years experience in accounts management, preferably in a medical environment along with pervious supervisory experience.
Skills/Abilities:
oHighly developed verbal and written communication skills
oProven ability to supervise, develop and mentor subordinates
oExcel, Word, Medical Manager, internet and email mastery
oSolid bookkeeping skills
