Carrier Relations Manager

Works with Carrier Operations group to secure LTL, cartage, air and special services capacity. Develop carrier partnership strategies ensuring revenue growth and gross margin goals are attained.
REQUIREMENTS
Primary internal and external point of contact for significant carrier related issues/opportunities. Solicits and develops relations with LTL carriers to assure capacity objectives and commitments are met on a monthly basis. Monitors commitment, service and overall performance of carriers. Conducts periodic reviews to discuss relations, service and performance. Establishes measurements to report progress and areas for improvement related to ongoing business/carrier activities. Develops carriers to be efficient in business process and interaction with company through Internet and EDI. Recommend process changes to the carrier enrollment process, carrier management, carrier setup, carrier pricing and carrier communications. Hire, train, develop, monitor, and appraises staff effectively. Takes corrective action as necessary, on a timely basis, and in accordance with company policy. Reviews employee performance and consult with Manager and Human Resources as appropriate. Ability to adapt team workload and requirements to meet business demand.
