Career Services Rep.-- Job Developer

Do you enjoy working with people to help them attain their career goals? At Lincoln Tech, we do! And now due to an internal promotion, Lincoln Technical Institute (formerly CEI)is looking for a career services representative in our Lincoln, RI, campus.

As a Career Services Representative you will be helping students prepare for their entrance into a new career path. You will guide them in resume writing, interviewing skills, and most important assisting graduates with job placement.

You will need to be available to work with students on a full- time basis and also be available at least one evening a week to work with our evening school students.

What you will do:

• Form relationships with organizations to develop job opportunities for graduates
• Provide placement assistance to graduates and monitor their progress
• Conduct professional development training to students and graduates
• Promote our school, programs, and students at job fairs, open houses, and other community events to establish a network base within the hiring community.
• Monitor and maintain placement goals based on established standards.
REQUIREMENTS
Skills and Experience you will need:

• Staffing, recruiting and/or placement environment – 2 or more years
• Experience working with a diverse population in job development and career preparation
• Achiever with strong goal orientation – Sales experience an asset
• Exceptional social & customer focused skills
• Knowledge of computer programs, resumes, and job requirements

A BIG PLUS:
• Bachelor’s Degree is desired
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office
• Excellent persuasive communication skills
• Ability to interact effectively and professionally with students, staff with the highest levels of integrity
