We are a rapidly growing, national direct marketer of consumer goods seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Call Center Sales Manager who can lead our growing call center team in meeting sales, service and productivity objectives. You must be a self starter and driven to increase company sales, improve customer service and increase customer retention. The ideal candidate is a decisive, results-oriented, sales leader with a high level of energy and a proven track record in call center management.
Major responsibilities include:
- Establishing and maintaining the daily operations of the call center to meet sales and customer service goals.
- Effective staff management including staffing, recruiting, hiring, training, developing, scheduling, motivating, coaching and retaining qualified call center representatives.
- Developing and managing telemarketing programs including defining requirements, objectives, sales scripts, timetables, deliverables and measurements.
- Developing and maintaining call center best practice processes and procedures to ensure efficient call center operations.
- Establishing a call center environment that encourages and recognizes accountability, dedication, integrity and superior performance
- Developing strategies and tactics to turn the inbound call into a pro-active selling situation to increase order size and overall sales
- Recommending appropriate call center technology, statistical tools, database management, and productivity standards
- Providing support and guidance to develop and enhance team members’ productivity with an emphasis on creative selling techniques
- Coaching, monitoring, training, and developing the call center sales team to maximize performance
- Developing and implementing key performance measurements and reports to meet sales and service goals
- Partnering with other business units to ensure company objectives are met
- Developing and implementing strategies and tactics to increase sales, reduce operational costs, and improve customer satisfaction
- Developing a high performance call center sales team and motivating the team to excel through the use of sales goals and various sales incentive programs
REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate will possess:
- A four year college degree in business or marketing and a minimum of three years call center management or sales management experience
- The ability to train, coach, develop, and motivate our call center sales team
- Proven sales leadership skills
- A strong understanding and working knowledge of call center processes and procedures
- A proven track record in team leadership, initiating change, problem solving, decision making, mentoring and coaching resulting in increased sales and improved customer service
- Excellent selling and training skills as well as strong leadership, communication and time management skills
- The ability to work independently
- Experience writing sales plans and tracking the effectiveness of those plans and the sales team
- Ability to respond to the continual changes and unique challenges that come with a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial business.
- Ability to develop creative sales and call center solutions with a wide degree of latitude and self-direction
- Must be a self starter and driven to increase company sales and improve customer service and retention
