Business Group Senior Sales Manager
DESCRIPTION: Senior Sales Managers work with market segment leaders, business development and planning managers, client service managers, project managers, market segment teams, clients, technical staff, subcontractors, teaming partners, and business development production staff, in accordance with the principles set forth in the 4-P and SST processes, to develop and implement positioning and persuasion strategies that further the goals of the business group's strategic plan and efficiently develop new business for the firm. 1. Manage activities for water pursuits of strategic value, including positioning, persuasion, and contract negotiation activities
2. Participate in the process of identification and selection of water projects having business group strategic value. Ensure that selected projects meet BG support eligibility criteria.
3. Become generally familiar with strategic BD&P activities within global context. Support global sales efforts to achieve revenue goals.
4. Assist regional staff with sales and client services management training. Provide input to database of persuasion materials.
5. Provide region(s) with national/global perspective on competitor and market trends.
6. Provide input into the selection of clients having Business Group strategic value.
7. Interact and network with potential clients and teaming partners in support of business development and marketing activities.
8. Network with key marketing and sales personnel in benchmark water delivery firms, to assist in assembly of winning teams for both strategic and regional sales pursuits. Gather information on benchmark competitors and industry trends and provide input into strategic planning.
QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Knowledge of CH2M HILL core competencies, strategic goals, initiatives and key staff.
2. Knowledge of industry clients and competitors
3. Excellent oral and written communication skills
4. Ability to build, manage, positively motivate, and work within high-performance technical and sales teams
5. Ability to facilitate complex proposal planning, strategy, and review sessions
6. Ability to manage SOQ, proposal, and presentation document development to adhere to established themes and to assure quality of final documents and presentations
7. Ability to work with project managers, DCR staff, and project delivery managers to determine winning prices on cost proposals and understanding of traditional and non-traditional project delivery methods
9. Ability to work within deadlines and budgets
EXPERIENCE: Senior Sales Managers must have the following experience:
Manage pursuits of large, complex projects
Manage some international, OMI, and APD pursuits
Manage some complex program pursuits
Consistently achieved a 60% sales win rate as a Sales Manager 1
Strong team and consensus building skills

Experience with business development in DOD arena. Must understand construction environment and firm fixed price/design build.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Navy or Air Force Preferred. Prefer experience in the PacifiC area..
