Business Development Representative

POSITION SUMMARY:

Develop business relationships with likely sources of sales business, including but not limited to: individual dealerships, dealership groups and lenders. Present sales materials and explain programs related to volume business-to-business opportunities.



ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES – All job responsibilities listed below are essential to the satisfactory performance of this position by any/all incumbents, with reasonable accommodation, if necessary. Any non-essential functions are assumed to be included in “Other related duties as assigned.”

· Make “cold calls” to businesses not currently working with DriveTime to educate them on our programs and establish a mutually beneficial relationship.

· Sign new businesses onto the program(s), and re-sign with those businesses as programs evolve.

· Maintain existing relationships with regular communication and partnering on an ongoing basis.

· Track daily, weekly, monthly and other sales activity as needed to confirm compliance with program guidelines and sales expectations.

· Problem solve as needed with dealerships when situations arise that require an internal liaison with other DriveTime departments. REQUIREMENTS
Travel Percentage: 10%
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum 3 years experience with business-to-business sales in an automotive or auto-related environment including but not limited to warranty programs or aftermarket auto accessories. College education preferred, but will accept equivalent experience. Familiarity with Windows, Outlook and general computer skills required. Strong verbal and written communication and sales skills required. Requires the ability to travel locally up to 50% of the time. Proven ability to self-motivate and work independently mandatory.

PHYSICAL ASPECTS: Constant hand and finger dexterity; occasional grasping and manipulating; constant eye and hand coordination; occasional to frequent bending, squatting; stooping; occasional twisting and rotating of trunk, neck, arms and legs; working with arms bent and extended; frequent standing and walking; occasional to frequent sitting; frequent pushing, pulling and stretching. Frequent vocalization, manual and auditory dexterity required.
