MVI Services seeks a highly motivated and experienced Business Development / Marketing Specialist to join its Waldorf, Maryland team. The successful candidate will conduct the business development activities and the design and production of planned marketing programs.
Key Responsibilities include:
Assist in establishing strategic marketing plans and identifying potential markets to achieve corporate objectives for services.
Develop and execute marketing programs to achieve stated objectives regarding revenue, profitability and market share.
Help develop and manage marketing budget.
Plan, develop or oversee execution of promotional activities including print, electronic media, trade show, direct mail, point-of-purchase displays and signage.
Negotiate contract terms with outside agencies and suppliers.
Manage development, production and distribution of promotional and collateral materials to support sales and marketing programs.
Analyze marketing programs and adjusts strategy and tactics to increase effectiveness.
Plan and conduct market research to identify opportunities for increased sales.
Maintain customer database and approves the use of internal and external mailing lists.
Review analysis and marketing surveys on current and new product concepts in order to recommend future product development.
Provide post-event reports, analysis and regular status reports on marketing programs.
Plan, promote and executes sales meetings and community and goodwill events.
Help establish and maintain consistent corporate image throughout service lines, promotional materials and events.
Identify specific leads and follows-up with potential customers.
Develop proposals in response to formal and informal bids.
Plan and prioritize personal business development activities.
Direct the revision and updating of corporate web site to maximize company exposure and profits.
Assist in the development of strategies for establishing partnerships and business relationships to market services.
Collaborate with internal departments, such as marketing, sales, engineering and external partners and allies in the development and implementation of strategies, plans and business models.
Market new and existing customers through creation, development and implementation of various business solutions.
Estimate demand for proposed projects based on market research and consumer trends.
Provide support to upper management in deal negotiations, contract development, due diligence and other business development or alliance development projects.
Assist the marketing department with the planning of marketing and promotions, including advertising, special sales and subsidiary rights.
Provide input to the management team on new service features to be developed to meet current and future customer needs.
Provide guidance and support to business development staff.
Research and learn all new emerging technologies and trends.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university equivalent or two to four years related experience and/or training.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Computer proficiency specifically with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Professional demeanor and appearance.
Salary commensurate with experience and benefits available.
