Business Development Manager-Financial Institutions #7222

THIS POSITION IS HOME BASED AND MUST BE LOCATED WITHIN 50 MILES OF A MAJOR METROPOLITAN AIRPORT WITHIN ONE OF THE FOLLOWING STATES ONLY: FL, GA, IL, NY, NJ, OH, PA, VA AND DC.The Business Development Manager will have responsibility for developing and implementing strategic business plans to secure externally issued payment programs and exceed department goals. The employee will communicate and negotiate with high-level internal and external executives and represent the company in sales meetings and contract negotiations.Responsibilities: Identify, analyze and develop new business opportunities in external card issuance.
Conduct customer business meetings, negotiate contacts and close business deals. Develop and maintain strong client relationships with executive level decision makers. Develop and represent business proposals including business case, key financial analysis, competitive positioning and profitability potential. Act as primary, business development liaison with internal key contacts (Sales, Operations, IT, Legal and Marketing) for implementation and problem resolutions. Establish and maintain relationships in the payment industry and local associations. Complete other Network projects as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED SKILLS:
5-10 (+) years experience in the credit card/payment services industry. (Ideally debit card/credit card). 2(+) years experience working with clients in one or more of the following industries; Fortune 500 financial services institutions, Retail-commercial/business accounts, credit, debit card or payment services portfolios. Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational, negotiation and presentation skills required. Proven success record in business development and relationship management. Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing, or related ideal. Will consider non-degreed candidates with close or exact-fitting work experience. Must be willing to travel 20-50% or as needed.DESIRED SKILLS:
