Business Development Leader – Healthcare/Quality Improvement
Delmarva Foundation, the region’s leading health care quality improvement organization, is seeking a full time Business Development Leader to join our management team. Located in our Easton headquarters and reporting to senior management the leader will direct the business development and marketing activities for the full range of our products and services. Specific responsibilities include collaborating with business leaders and operational staff to:
• Manage competitive/ industry research and analysis to yield strategic insights and strategic business alternatives based on industry trends.
• Identify and qualify new business opportunities - primarily federal and state agencies dealing with health, healthcare, and quality improvement of health services.
• Initiate and pursue sales leads to closing, including proposal development, and presentation to clients.
• Develop business plan for new corporate services/products
• Develop programs to monitor customer satisfaction.
• Manage our talented team of writers, graphics and communication staff

REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of the health care industry, issues, trends and competitors and have a demonstrated record of success in leading a business development unit to win federal/state/private contracts. Prior experience in a consulting environment helpful. Candidate must also possess demonstrated managerial competence, leadership skills, a collaborative and collegial style, excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Undergraduate degree in Business or related discipline required, with advanced degrees relevant to health, business, communications, or marketing a plus.
