Business Development Associate - Hitachi
Job Purpose:
The purpose of the Business Development (BD) team is to generate sales leads for Hitachi manufactured products. In the process, the Business Development Associate is expected to learn about the products and services offered by Hitachi, as well as become proficient in recognizing opportunities where these products and services can fulfill a business need of the organizations they are contacting. Continued success in the Business Development role can lead to other opportunities at ePlus, ranging from sales to account management.Job Responsibilities:Qualify business opportunities by initiating outbound calls and identifying scope of projects and initiatives, decision makers, stakeholders and overall scope of opportunityProvide professional & informative “first customer touch experience” to all prospectsExecution of various lead development call campaigns defined each quarter in conjunction with the focus of the Field and Marketing programsMaster all internal sales processes, systems and proceduresIdentify, contact, and develop leads in conjunction with goals set forth by the Director of Business Development (immediate supervisor), Client Relations and the Field Sales teams you supportUse Sales Force Administration application (SalesLogix) effectively to manage tasks, callbacks, productivity, etc.Become proficient in recognizing opportunities for Hitachi productsBecome able to develop a territory/business plan to prospect, nurture, and produce high quality leads that result in real ePlus sales opportunities
REQUIREMENTS
Job Knowledge/Skills:
•Ability to communicate effectively with high-level decision makers over the telephone
•Self-motivated, results-oriented team player with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
•Possess the ability to work independently•Strong computer skills•Ability to learn quickly the fundamentals of lead generation and B-2-B prospecting•Possess the ability to quickly learn software & technology tools and features and communicate the benefits to prospects over the telephone
Education and Experience:•Bachelor’s Degree
