Business Development Associate

We are in need of a Business Development Associate to manage accounts on the East coast. Our client is a CRO. This position will be working from a home office anywhere on the East coast.

Key Responsibilities:

•Maintain constant contacts with existing accounts, while directing and/or implementing marketing functions to gain market shares and new clients
•Prepare and submit business and marketing plans resulting from a clear understanding of the client’s needs and objectives through undertaking and understanding market and technical researches
•Direct and participate in contract negotiation process as appropriate
•Work closely with management to ensure activities meet business growth and budget goals, and to ensure appropriate costing and pricing of services rendered
•Serve as liaison with production departments to ensure the appropriateness of service range
•Communicate market updates and clients needs/complaints to improve overall service quality and to participate in service innovation and development
•Preparing, conducting, and directing of business or marketing presentations for existing and potential clients
•Represent the company at professional conferences

This is a direct, permanent position with our client company. It is not a contract job nor is it a consultant position or temp-to-perm.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:

•BS/BA in a related field
•Pharmaceutical/CRO sales or marketing experience required
•1-3 years working in the service and/or business development
•Ability to work and travel independently with minimal supervision
•Self-motivated attitude
•Moderate computer competency
•Excellent and proven communication ability
•Superior English skills in writing, reading, and speaking
•Enthusiasm, commitment and desire to succeed

Previous Sales and/or Marketing experience in the pharmaceutical industry or with a clinical research organization is mandatory. All others need not apply.
