Business Analysts with SQL (ongoing positions)

Our Fortune 100 client is currently looking for Senior Business Analysts with moderate to long experience working with data and data analysis, participating in data management.

This person will have strong experience in:
**requirements gathering,
**facilitating sessions or meetings with business users and developers,
**technical documentation of requirements,
**creation of functional and technical specifications,
**SQL coding on Unix-based databases,
**some project management, and
**expertise in software development methodologies,
**ability to work with aggressive timelines, and
**run with a project on their own, as needed,
**able to extract or view data without assistance,
**developing test plans, as well as participating in the testing process.

Exposure to or project participation with current web technologies, including ASP.NET and C#, and Financial Services experience is highly preferred, as well as previous Big 4 experience.

This is a very dynamic environment. NO ENTRY LEVEL candidates will be considered.

These positions typically start with an initial project, but move on to other projects. Therefore, the length of your stay will be open-ended. It may be a contract, but once you start and keep working well, you can put that resume away for a while.

A Bachelor's degree or higher is preferred, in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or you can come in with a Finance degree, but with IT experience.

Excellent presentation and people interface skills are a MUST! Business casual environment, but very professional. Just about 10-15 minutes walk from Union Station.

REQUIREMENTS
-5 or more years of solid Business Analyst experience
-Requirements gathering experience, strong interpersonal skills communicating with technical AND non-technical personnel or management.
-Ability to work independently, as well as resourcefulness to get the job done in a timely manner.
-Solid development methodology, as well as a process-oriented approach to multi-tasking.
-Some project management experience, including creation of project documentation or project scope,
-SQL coding experience as well as ease with Unix commands,
-Software testing experience, including writing test plans,
-Financial Services Industry experience would be highly desired.
