Business Analyst I (Case Trakker)

Summary/Position Objectives:
This position is responsible for the configuration, implementation and maintenance of the CaseTrakker (case management) business application system. Analyzes business needs and requirements for the configuration and maintenance of business application systems. This position provides support to the BAM Business Analyst II and III’s in terms of business application analysis and documentation.


Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
Works with BAM Manager, operational staff and other BAM business analysts to evaluate business requirements for configuration, implementation and maintenance of CaseTrakker as required by SAI business, and/or contractual requirements.
Configures basic system solutions assigned by the BAM Manager or Business Analyst III.
Assists users with basic system problems.
Sets up users with access to CaseTrakker
Maintains system documentation in support of configuration activities.
Maintains responsibility for executing detailed test plans to ensure smooth production implementation.
Participates in new business application system implementations and maintenance activities, including configuration and documentation of all system files and options upon request.

REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of healthcare business application systems is desired.
Basic programming experience in SQL and MS-Access desired.
Experience with core software applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required.
Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.

Education and Work Experience:
Bachelor degree in closely related field is preferred, although an equivalent combination of formal education and experience in business application system implementation, support, administration, and business application user training. A minimum of one year of business application systems related work experience, or experience equal to the education requirement, two years of which must be in applications system support. Training in business application systems analysis and design is desirable.
