Business Analyst - E-rate

Major Responsibilities: Required Skills and Experience: Familiarity with the Telecommunications Industry and Government Funding or the Universal Service Programs, STRONG Leadership and Communication Skills, Supervisional Experience, Excellent Customer facing skills as well as STRONG Presentation, PC/Computer skills i.e.; Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.

Manage end to end processing for all E-Rate Applications under PCS and Wireline billing platforms. Support the implementation of end-to-end business processes, financial reporting, auditing, customer support. Work closely with Management and teammates to support projects assigned to the E-Rate Department in order to meet critical business needs. Work on escalated issues with respect to internal and external customers to ensure Sprint Nextel’s adherence to all regulatory requirements under E-Rate Program. Provide clear communication to sales outlining sales leads, eligibility specifics associated to E-Rate and existing negotiated contracts.

Provide regular status updates to Management on critical path initiatives supporting the program. The E-Rate Analyst will need to utilize multiple systems to effectively execute on given projects requiring quick system understanding and adaptation.

Minimum Qualifications: (Job related skills, experience, and education): Bachelors Degree, 5+ years of Telecommunications/Wireless Experience Preferred. 5+ years of Program Management Experience and/or Project Management Experience, sales experience or sales related experience desired, but not required. Strong analytical skills and background in financial reporting, as well as knowledge of Sprint Nextel’s systems. Strong team-building skills, strong written/verbal communication.
