BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST (BDS)

The Business Development Specialist (BDS) using on-line Internet techniques will be responsible for searching, identifying and pre-qualifying (does not include cold calling) new business opportunities for the Business Development Managers (BAMs). This includes the use of ‘e-pipeline search engine, web-based Federal websites and any special leads provided by the BAM. This person will assist in the planning, coordinating and executing of sales activities to the federal government. This may include assisting the BAM’s in managing accounts, documenting activities, and overseeing ongoing customer service in order to achieve sales goals. This person must be able to communicate effectively one-on-one, in small groups, and in writing.

•Support BAM’s on day-to-day operations, to included contracts files documentation.
•Prepare and send marketing and sales collateral material (Brochures, Capability Statement, etc.) to customers.
•Proposal Support (i.e. assisting the BAM in coordinating the different parts of the proposal with the technical team to include gathering the proposal pieces and putting it together in the final binders for customer delivery).
REQUIREMENTS
Candidates should have:

College Degree in telecommunications or related fields,
Minimum of two to five years’ sales or marketing experience,
Familiar with government contracting rules is a plus,
Proposal and quotation preparation experience.
