BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT / CBC DIRECTORJob Overview:Facilitate the partnership with the CBC (Community Building Consortium) to create an environment in the region that fosters and sustains long-term employment corridor development; also assist the Business Development team and GPEC in the site selection process.Job Responsibilities:-Work with the Consortium on driving long-term direction by focusing on:
-Improving Development Services
-Speculative Building Program
-Business Attraction efforts including Development Agreements
-Responsible for all projects and/or deliverables related to the CBC.
-Keep up-to-date on the real estate market (availability and trends).
-Coordinate CBC in assisting Business Development staff in prospect handling and deal closings.
-Communication with all parties (GPEC Staff, Consortium members, Board of Directors) on the CBC activity and progress.-Assist Business Development team in carrying out business attraction and expansion efforts.-Develop and implement systems, processes and practices that ensure sustainable and consistent high-quality outcomes in assigned areas.-Aide in preparation for sales trips and other sales and marketing initiatives.
-Build internal and external network to generate qualified prospects.
-Contribute to assigned project teams.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications:-Bachelors degree in related field and/or experience in the economic development or commercial real estate field.-Demonstrated abilities in group facilitation and collaborative efforts.
-Familiarity with industrial recruitment / expansion techniques preferred.
-Understanding of site selection trends and regional strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities preferred.
-Flexibility, adaptability and versatility.
-Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).-Experience working in a team-oriented environment.-Exceptional organizational skills.
-Experience in handling multi-reporting and multi-tasking.
-Proficient on Microsoft Programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint or their equivalent.
-Proficient in Outlook or equivalent calendar program.-Professional demeanor at all times.

Physical/Mental Demands:The individual is regularly required to speak and hear, use a telephone, read and interpret data, analyze & solve complex problems, perform work under changing, intensive deadlines on multiple concurrent tasks; sufficient body flexibility & personal mobility which permits working in an office setting; individual may be required to travel within the area, within the USA & occasionally internationally.
