Assistant Supervisor

Directs, supervises and coordinates the manufacturing activities on a shift. Instructs and provides guidance to operating staff in production scheduling. Assesses and reports results of production runs. Contact sales person if delay in shipment arrival. Schedule time for trucks to pickup orders. Able to work around last minute problems to resolve issues. Facilitate safetly meetings. Ensures clean-up of work area and equipment. Informs the supervisor of process problems or delays and recommends solutions. Monitors production statistics to ensure accuracy. Trains less senior members of the department and serves as a role model in areas of safety, housekeeping and commitment. Hours: 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. with frequent overtime.Posted: 8/31/2006

REQUIREMENTS
Full understanding of all processes, procedures and safety risks associated with one or more of the plant processing areas. Demonstrated leadership and personal discipline in performing all assigned tasks to ensure product quality and safe operation for all employees. Knowledge of products and understanding of QC analysis to recommend adjustments. Knowledge of required transactions performed in manufacturing database. Ability to operate all plant equipment.
