Assistant Director of Annual Giving

The University of Virginia Law School Foundation is seeking to fill the part-time
position of Assistant Director of Annual Giving.
Duties include: assisting the Director of Annual & Reunion Giving; increasing overall alumni participation in and monetary contributions to the Annual Giving Campaign, including
but not limited to taking primary responsibility for five to seven alumni classes representing approximately 2,000 alumni; working directly with alumni volunteers; drafting and editing board minutes, acknowledgment letters, newsletters, alumni volunteer handbooks, and articles for publication on the schoolʼs web site; researching best practices at peer law schools and continuing legal education requirements; attending various alumni and fundraising events.
Requirements: minimum four year college degree with proven experience in fundraising and/or legal environment; excellent written, verbal and persuasive communications skills; excellent proofreading and research skills; strong project management skills; strong analytical and problem solving capabilities; ability
to work both independently and in collaboration with others; superior customer service skills; ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously; proficiency using MS Office suite; minimal weekend and evening work (with ample notice); minimal travel. JD degree preferred. The position is for 24 hours a week with some flexibility in the hours.
