Diversified Distribution Systems, Inc. an innovative leader in the retail supply distribution industry has two excellent Opportunities in our Purchasing Department. We are a national distributor currently accepting applications for experienced candidates to support our major retail accounts.
ASSISTANT BUYER
Responsibilities include:
Expedite overdue purchase orders.
Resolve problem issues with receiving/invoices
SKU setup.
Update system with current revision dates, obsolete parts and current pricing.
Manage reports for buyers. Create and update master vendor file by category.
Execute/release purchase orders as needed and directed by buyer.
Manage backorder reports by customer/by buyer.
Update system purchase order ETAs daily.
Experience in purchasing required.
BUYER
Responsibilities include:
Manage inventory within 7 DC's.
Provide bid pricing for current and potential customers.
Meet with new/current vendors.
Negotiate vendor contract & seasonal pricing, payment terms and inbound freight
Manage consolidation of sku's for potential cost savings and inventory reduction.
Manage obsolete/slow moving sku's.
Create product projections for customers and vendors.
Manage P.O. releases.
Manage vendor performance.
Five years prior experience required.
Both positions require attention to detail, strong math aptitude, problem solving skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. The ability to work effectively in a team environment with a high sense of urgency is also important.
