Affiliate Executive Director

MADD is the premiere organization working to stop drunk driving, support the victims of this violent crime and prevent underage drinking. MADD is a 501(c) 3 charity with approximately 600 affiliates and 2 million members and supporters nationwide. More than 300,000 lives have been saved since MADD was founded in 1980.

The MADD Tulsa, Oklahoma office, is currently seeking candidates for the position of Affiliate Executive Director.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF POSITION:
•Responsible for the development, management and implementation of all initiatives necessary to deliver services to victims, provide appropriate funding to deliver the services and promote the mission of MADD throughout the assigned region.
•Develop/manage affiliate staff and volunteers.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Recruit/develop an affiliate operations council.
•Identify and procure sources of funding necessary to develop core organizational programs/services. Ensure that appropriate funding is maintained to run the affiliate at all times.
•Ensure MADD’s funds are effectively/efficiently utilized. Maintain a balanced budget.
•Manage employees/volunteers to ensure that victim’s services are met efficiently, timely and professionally. Identify areas within assigned territory where victims are underserved and implement programs to ensure services are available in those areas.
•Professionally represent MADD to the public, media and other external organizations in order to proactively promote the organization’s mission/programs/services.
•Work closely with the affiliate operations council on developing strategic objectives and implementing effective strategies.
•Ensure compliance of MADD’s policies, procedures and regulations within assigned territory pertaining to the organization’s operation.
•Effectively develop/supervise staff.
•Develop/guide/support any community action sites that are sponsored by the affiliate.
•Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
•3-5 years progressive management experience, preferably in a non-profit environment.
•Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
•Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and motivational skills.
•Ability to effectively network, establish effective partnerships and recruit volunteers.
•Proven fund-raising ability.
•Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines on projects
•Travel required. Flexibility of schedule a must.
