Account Representative

The Company: Budgetext is a prominent, privately owned distributor of wholesale textbooks for K-12 through graduate level colleges. The Position: Account Representative (K-12 Division)

Responsibilities:
•Initiate and promote the sale and purchase of used textbooks while working with public and private K-12 school officials
•Seek out and establish accounts and develop sales
•Enhance and build customer relationships with new and existing accounts
•Drive, manage and lead all sales activity in the designated territory
•Maintain and increase a strong customer base

Qualifications:
•Excellent ground floor opportunity for ex-coaches, teachers or school administrators with sales experience
•Self-starter and possess excellent sales skills
•Successful completion of credit check and drug screen
•Capable of some heavy lifting, 25-35 lbs.
•Must have valid driver’s license and a good driving record
•Must have direct access to high speed internet connection
•Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Location: Kansas City, MO, and surrounding areas comprise the sales territory.

Travel: Moderate overnight required

The “Package”: This position offers a competitive compensation package that includes a base salary and incentive programs for sales and purchases, mid fifties-plus income potential. Other benefits include vacation, health insurance, 401k, paid business travel expenses, use of laptop computer, and a cell phone program.
