Technical Support Specialist

Bio-Tek Instruments, inc., a leading internationally known manufacturer of laboratory instrumentation and software for the life science market, is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Technical Support Specialist. Primary responsibilities include providing technical assistance to customers via phone, fax, and email for BioTek’s laboratory instrument and software products.

Successful candidate will possess:

• A technical and/or life science background including experience in the operation and maintenance of laboratory instrumentation.
• Excellent communication skills including the ability to coach customers through instrument operation and maintenance.
• Excellent troubleshooting and conceptual skills.
• Ability to handle heavy workload.
• Customer service experience.
• BS/BA in the Life Sciences strongly preferred.

Candidates should also ideally possess one or more of the following qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years experience servicing laboratory instruments, or
• Experience as a laboratory technologist, or
• Experience as a biomedical technician with a minimum of 3 years experience servicing laboratory instruments.
