Job Description: Creates, develops, @am, writes and edits operational, instructional, maintenance and test procedures for paper, multimedia or web-based publication. Conducts interviews with various users and technical staff to gather data for documentation. Researches and translates technical information into manuals and/or web-based documents for non-technical and technical users. Produces accurate, high quality, well-written documentation that conforms to the company documentation and quality assurance standards. Maintains log of required changes to documentation. Works with a cross-functional team, including individuals in Product Marketing, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Technical Support.
REQUIREMENTS
Job Requirements: BS required, Life Sciences or equivalent preferred.

Minimum of 2 years of technical writing experience in the field of Biotechnology required. Experience writing documentation for capital equipment, software, and biological applications is highly desirable.

Must have excellent writing skills, the ability to communicate effectively with scientific/engineering staff, and the ability to translate complicated technical language into user-friendly communication. Must possess excellent organizational skills, be detail-oriented, and have the ability to work independently. Expertise in standard technical writing tools (MS Word, etc.) required. Experience with RoboHelp and/or other on-line help tools desirable.
