We currently have an opening for a Support Specialist II in our IT Department who will be responsible for providing Level 2 support to TriPath internal customers. This will include hardware, software, and network troubleshooting; hardware and software installation and configuration; phone support of remote customers; training and documentation of systems and procedures.

This position will be located in Burlington, NC.

Principal Accountabilities:

* Provides troubleshooting and resolution of customer issues with IT systems, according to established Helpdesk procedures.
* Tracks progress and clearly documents customer issues in Helpdesk system.
* Provides good customer service by: maintaining contact with customer throughout resolution process, providing customer advocacy through completion of issue, resolving issues to customer satisfaction, and offering any follow-up needed.
* Works independently to research and test relevant ITS issues and resolutions to customers’ inquiries, using all resources and tools available to the ITS department.
* Contributes to the ITS team through project participation, creating documentation and conducting training, and using hardware, software and networking skills to further ITS department goals.

REQUIREMENTS
The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:

* Must possess a technical degree or be working toward one. Equivalent training and certifications relevant to the field will be accepted.
* 2 - 4 years experience in hardware, software and networking concepts.
* Established customer service skills through a minimum of 1 year professional customer service experience.
* Knowledge of PC Hardware concepts and implementation, PC Software and OS concepts and implementation, and networking principles.
Effective troubleshooting skills.
