1.Coordinates scientific data generation processes related to chemistry and biology.
2.Ensures consistency and integrity of chemical data in drug discovery and development.
3. Coordinates processes related to creation of studies, protocols, and other relevant data containers to streamline the uploading, retrieval, analysis, and annotation of Biological data
4. Provides primary oversight of common data dictionary terms, definitions, and compliance related to chemical and biological terms.
5.Integration of chemical and biological data with all other associate types of data and information (e.g. programs, projects,genomics etc.).
6. Works in partnership with the SIS community to guarantee the value and support of the databases§ Communicates across all levels of the organization by coordinating data usage among the users
7. Coordinates Virtual Screening Data Management§ Coordinates Scientific Computing Poweruser support activities as required
8. Manages User Access to various foundation databases.
REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge/Skills
Fundamental understanding of chemistry and biology principles as well as a good understanding of Data Management within various Discovery Functions in the pharmaceutical industry particularly in the areas of Chemistry,Biology and Analytics.
Expert functional and business knowledge skills relevant to the application of technology in the area of drug discoveryresearch.
Working knowledge of HTS, Analytics and Chemistry applications functionality, of supporting infrastructure, and of supportneeds consistent with global information technology standards.
Ability to match technology solutions to a business problem.
Knowledge of modern software engineering principles and software design practices.4+years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical or biotech industryFormal Education/Experience
Advanced degree in Chemistry or Biology with strong practical experience in pharmaceutical research data management. Experience in software/database programming required.*
