Senior Product Manager

Responsibilities:
The candidate will gather and manage requirements and translate them into system or solution delivery. He/she will extract business drivers from requirements and document as justification or benefits statement for a proposed project. The incumbent will make recommendations for design based on requirements and business drivers. He/she will own and manage multiple projects from initiation through execution, as well as own and manage requirements and User Acceptance Testing. The candidate will deliver a project within budget, scope and timeline. He/she will escalate issues and risks appropriately and provide regular status to Project Portfolio Manager, client(s), stakeholders and upper management. The candidate will maintain a solid relationship with the business and anticipate business needs or changes to adjust project strategy. He/she will contribute to process improvement by monitoring the use of tools and processes, as well as provide feedback to streamline CIT processes. The incumbent will manage project financials, including estimates, forecasts, tracking reports and escalation. He/she will set the direction for the project team and remove bottlenecks for team members as needed. The incumbent will mentor junior resources and/or project coordinators.
REQUIREMENTS
A B.A./B.S. in Computer Science, Business or a related discipline is required, with a MBA preferred. A minimum of 6-8 years of project management experience is a must and PMI certification is desired. The candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills, analytical capabilities, consensus building skills, decision-making ability and problem solving skills. Solid customer relationship management skills are required. Technical ability to translate business need to solution requirements is essential. Knowledge of project management tools, including Microsoft Project, Clarity/NIKU and Microsoft Excel is a must. The ability to quickly learn the business in unfamiliar areas and work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment is required. The candidate must possess the ability to make complex decisions with relatively little information within the project. Previous experience in FDA validated environments, biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
