The Bioanalytical Scientist in Global Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics will be required to develop, validate and run analytical methods for quantitation of drugs/metabolites in biological samples, such as plasma or urine. The methods involve protein precipitation, liquid-liquid extraction or solid-phase extraction and LC-MS/MS. The scientist will document all laboratory activities and maintain study records to enable error-free interpretation of the data and good outcomes during QA/FDA inspection. Quantitation of data will be performed in a laboratory information management system (Watson LIMS). Reports will be prepared in Microsoft Word and Documentum. The scientist should be able to perform these activities successfully with periodic supervision. All activities will be conducted under GLP according to appropriate SOPs and in adherence to appropriate chemical/biological safety practices.Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Develop and validate new methods drugs and/or metabolites in biological matrices
2. Routine study sample analysis
3. GLP record maintenance
REQUIREMENTS
B.S. or M.S. in analytical chemistry or a related discipline, plus three to seven years of relevant work experience in a pharmaceutical or contract research organization.
