Research & Development Scientist

Prodesse, Inc is biotechnology firm that develops, manufactures and distributes multiplex PCR reagents for the identification of infectious disease agents. Prodesse also operates a CLIA lab to offer services to local hospitals using its in-house developed and validated assays.

Job Description/Summary: R&D Scientist will be responsible for development of Real-Time PCR-based molecular diagnostic assays in an ISO 13485 environment. Will perform target design, assay formulation and optimization, performance validation, design documentation. Additional responsibilities include planning, scheduling, training, and process improvement.

REQUIREMENTS
Minimal Requirements: BS in biology, microbiology, molecular biology or related field plus 2 years of PCR experience (Real Time PCR experience preferred).
