The Reference Technologist is responsible for: performing assigned serological work; (including antigen typing, ABO/Rh testing, donor antibody I.D., compatibility testing, CMV testing, HgbS testing); answering phones to take requests and perform routine consultation with hospitals; maintenance and inventory of supplies; quality control duties.
Two positions available: (1)Full-time Shift Tues-Sat overnight 10:00pm-6:30am: (1) Part-time Shift Thursday - Saturday evenings 4:00pm-12:30am.
$5000 sign on bonus after completion of 6 months of employment.

REQUIREMENTS
Requirements include an MT or MLT and thorough knowledge of test procedures and equipment. Must meet CLIA requirements for high complexity testing. This highly responsible position requires flexibility and ability to participate in Reference Laboratory on-call. Candidates will need excellent communication skills to take requests and perform routine and complex consultation with hospitals and other blood centers. A high level of accuracy and independent action are needed to ensure quality control.
