Project Engineer

Job Title:Project Engineer
Job Purpose:

Provide Engineering technical expertise in the form of project identification, development and management. Provide a high level of technical know-how within a specialty field(s).

Essential Functions:

·Research, develop and prepare specifications for new products, processes, equipment, and technology.·Manage projects by developing a project schedule and team, tracking costs, preparing status reports, conducting team meetings, and communicating issues and progress to management.·Prepare RCI’s including business need, project description, schedule, budgets and resource requirements.·Supervise and direct contract personnel and outside vendors in the performance of contracted services.·Provide leadership and guidance to subordinates within the Engineering organization.·Provide direction and technical decision-making for management involving capital asset purchases and expenses for projects and/or strategic activities involving up to $10MM (capital /expense/revenue potentials).·Prepare and present technical investigative reports to middle level management.·Moderate degree if both internal and external personnel interfaces.
REQUIREMENTS
Required:B.S. degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, or Process Engineering with at least five years experience in an Engineering position in the food, beverage, cosmetic, chemical, pharmaceutical, or consumer goods industry.Desired:At least two years successful engineering experience in a Pharma manufacturing or equivalent enbi8ronment.Experience with plastic extrusion technology and filling processes.Knowledge:·Demonstrated knowledge within an engineering specialty(s) area.·Knowledge of cGMP.·Software packages such as project management, spreadsheets, word processors and packages unique to the individuals specialty(s) area.·Understanding of manufacturing methods related to the individual specialty(s) area.Skills/Abilities:·Communication skills, both verbal and written commensurable with dealings at the middle management level.·Demonstrated project management skills.·Ability to work independently and within a team environment.·Ability to analyze, investigate and propose solutions to technical issues.·Demonstrated troubleshooting skills.·Leadership and team management skills.Special Requirements:·Domestic and International travel.·Work hours may occasionally include weekends and holidays.
